Paykan, led by setter Mir Saeid Marouflakrani, will play in the final of the Iranian League, following their 3-1 win over Urmiah Shahrdari
Tehran, Iran, March 6, 2016 – Tehran Paykan defeated Urmia Shahrdari 3-1 (25-22, 25-22, 18-25, 25-19) in the Iranian League semifinal on Sunday, to face the defending champions Sarmayeh Bank in the best-of-three finals slated to take place on Wednesday, March 8.
As the 2016 Asian champions, Sarmayeh Bank Tehran are one of two clubs already qualified for the FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championship in Poland from December 11 to 17, alongside South American champions and title-holders Sada Cruzeiro of Brazil.

Paykan and Shahrdari have a 1-1 record, leading up to their third encounter this season.
The 135-minute long match kept the 800 spectators on the edge of their seats, as Mir Saeid Marouflakrani enabled Paykan’s return to the final.
Top volleyball officials and newly appointed men’s national team coach Igor Kolakovic were all in attendance at the exciting semifinal between Paykan and Shahrdari. Paykan’s adversaries in the finals, Sarmayeh Bank, also watched the match.
